In Demand Programme Returns

The popular and in-demand Vocational Skills Training Programme (VSTP) starts back soon.

Thousands of people have passed through the programme, and have benefited from VSTP course offerings, which have ranged from plumbing and cake decorating to handbag construction and mixology.

VSTP is run by the Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport, which has seen the student intake steadily increase.

Lifelong learning is a consistent journey that requires dedication, commitment, and imagination to evolve with the changes that come along the way,” Community Development Coordinator in the Community Development Division Michelle Burris said.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the programme implemented a virtual training option, adapting to the restrictions on in-person gatherings.

A variety of exciting skills training classes will again be offered both online and at facilities across the island, so you don’t want to be left out! Register for the next cycle of this highly anticipated training programme as spaces are limited.

Visit the Division’s Facebook page for updates, registration information, and the link to the programme’s online form.

In addition to hobbyist who’ll just like to pick up a skill, VSTP has created many business owners, with graduates going on to sell their products and services to paying customers.

Bags, made by VSTP participants, are displayed.
