The Unemployment Relief Programme (URP) continues to not only provide work for the island’s residents, but to supply food to the population.

The agricultural team within the programme is busy growing local crops. Customers can purchase fresh seedlings and vegetables including patchoi, pumpkin, hot pepper, flavour pepper, celery, tomatoes, sweet pepper, beetroot, parsley, cabbage, chive and more from their fields in Mason Hall, Castara and Roxborough.

The programme recently set up shop at the World Food Day event.
