Eco-Industrial Development Company of Tobago (E-IDCOT)

Overview

The Eco-Industrial Development Company of Tobago (E-IDCOT) Limited was developed by the Tobago House of Assembly as one of the agencies responsible for the economic development and transformation of Tobago. The Cove Tobago Eco-Industrial and Business Park is one mechanism that is used to achieve this purpose by offering ready land and building spaces for businesses to operate at affordable rates. The land spaces are already outfitted with all necessary infrastructure for the convenience of the tenant, while the building spaces are shells ready to be outfitted, and have the added benefit of back-up power in the event of power failures.

Given the mandate of E-IDCOT, Cove Tobago aims to provide tenants with a soft landing, providing incentives and support throughout the life of the tenancy at the Park. Each new tenant is afforded a waiver on the lease rent for periods ranging from 6 months to 5 years, depending on the type of tenancy selected.

Eligibility

Most business activities are welcome at the Industrial Park, however the following activities are restricted;

Retailing
Animal Farming
Farming that involves in ground planting
Hospitality Businesses (such as hotels, bed and breakfasts, restaurants, entertainment centers)

Required Documents

ID and Proof of Address

Two (2) Valid forms of ID from the business owner in the case of a sole proprietorship or partnership or in the case of a company, its directors.

Business Registration

Provide copies of the Business Certificate, Articles of Incorporation, Notice of Address, Notice of Directors and Bye-Laws, as is applicable.

References

Provide a reference Letter from Financial Institution. Reference letters from former landlords, client testimonials, business associations, etc. should also be provided.
