THA Chief Secretary Orville London yesterday (Wednesday 31st October 2012) officially informed President George Maxwell Richards of the dissolution of the House of Assembly last Thursday. (25th October 2012) He also advised him of the date for the election.

London said at the weekly post Executive Council media briefing that the President will now have to consult with the Prime Minister and in his own discretion he will then determine the date before announcing it within the statutory deadline.
