The Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) will host a lecture series this week to highlight the key role of pharmacists in educating patients and promoting safe and effective use of medication.
Pharmacy Week is celebrated annually during the third week of October. Starting today (October 15) until Friday (October 20), TRHA’s Pharmacy Department will host a series of lectures centred on this year’s theme: “Let’s get Better Together!”
Acting pharmacy manager at the TRHA Laurie Bonaparte said the lectures will help educate the general public about the use of medication and related issues they should be aware of.
“We work together with our clients to get them better and improve their quality of life,” Bonaparte said, “so it is critical that we help to promote understanding and keep in touch with our clients, who must have intimate knowledge of the pharmaceuticals that they take.”
