Smooth Transition for Airport Residents

Chief Secretary the Honourable Kelvin Charles is once again assuring the residents of the Crown Point area, who will be affected by the construction of the new Terminal Building and associated works of the A.N.R. Robinson International Airport, that the necessary plans and arrangements are being made to ensure a smooth transition.

Mr. Charles notes that he has been speaking on the matter on various media programmes, to ensure that the information is placed in the public domain.   The Chief Secretary re-iterates that the Relocation Committee is assiduously working towards the necessary arrangements, to develop lands at three possible locations, namely Mt. Pleasant, COVE and Courland.  Mr. Charles says that at present, the necessary regulatory processes are being dealt with by the Committee.

With regard to the timelines, Mr. Charles notes that at the meeting held by Project Manager, National Infrastructure Development Company (NIDCO), at Rovanel’s Resort on Friday 05th April, 2019, it was agreed that the timelines would be revisited and this is in fact under careful consideration.

Mr. Charles confirms that the next meeting scheduled to take place between NIDCO and the residents will be held in the very near future.
