GUIDELINES FOR ART COMPETITION ELIGIBILITY
Must be a student of a Tobago Secondary School.
Rules
- Schools are allowed to submit multiple entries.
One entry per student. - Artwork used from previous/other competitions will NOT be accepted.
- The following media are allowed for artwork: Oil paint on Canvas, Acrylics, Tempera or Water paint, Drawings with Pencil, Pens Ink, Charcoal, Pastel Dyes etc.
- No 3D artwork will be accepted.
- All artwork must be landscape in orientation and submitted on paper/canvas etc. Size 18in wide by 12in high.
- All artwork that do not meet the required specification will be automatically disqualified.
Winners
- 12 Finalists will be selected.
Selected artwork will be published in the Office of the Chief Secretary’s 2027 Calendar. - The winning artwork will be featured on the cover of the calendar.
- The winning artist will receive $4,000.00 and $10,000.00 will be awarded to his/her school’s art programme.
- Remaining 11 finalists will each receive $2,000.00 each.
- 13th – 17th Places will receive $1,000.00 consolation prize each.
- All other participants: $200 art supplies voucher each.
GUIDELINES FOR FILM COMPETITION ELIGIBILITY
Must be a student of a Tobago Secondary School.
Rules
- Entries can comprise one (1) student or a group of students (maximum of 4 persons).
- Actors can be students or non-students.
- Film must be recorded and edited by student/s.
- Two entries per school (schools are required to determine the top 2 submissions if multiple entries are received).
- Film should be no longer than five (5) minutes.
- No animation nor animated short film allowed.
- Must be on screen film.
- No sexual depiction/content.
- No weaponry.
Winners
1st Prize: $8,000.00
2nd Prize: $6,000.00
3rd Prize: $4,000.00
Winning School: $10,000.00
