Workplace Safety

The Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development is advising citizens on how they can prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace in order to protect themselves and customers.

It advises that employees:

  1. Keep workplaces clean and hygienic.
  2. Promote regular hand-washing and good respiratory hygiene.
  3. Stay at home when sick until they are better and advise sick co-workers to do the same.
  4. Consult national travel advisories, prior to any travel.

At home, persons should ensure that the coronavirus is not spread through clothes and bed linen, by not carrying these items against their bodies, and washing them regularly in hot water (between 60-90°C) with laundry detergent or soap.
