OCS Launches ‘Love Is Giving’

The Office of the Chief Secretary (OCS) in collaboration with the Tobago Entrepreneurs Business Network has launched the #LoveIsGiving initiative to help citizens who have been affected by severe flooding over the weekend.

OCS will be collecting supplies to assist those in need. These include: bottled water; canned and other non-perishable food items; hampers; baby items (disposable diapers, wipes, baby food); toiletries; towels; mattresses; tarpaulins; blankets; sheets and pillows and cleaning supplies (bleach, disinfectant, mops, brooms).

In a media release, the Tobago Emrergency Management Authority (TEMA) has advised against donating clothing at this time, as well as expired food items.

Donations are being collected at the TEMA Emergency Operations Centre at Fairfield Complex, Bacolet, as well as the TEMA warehouse in Signal Hill, and the Tobago Animal Hospital on Government House Road.

Other locations include Street 91.9FM (Crown Point), Bella’s Cosmetics (Scarborough), Manswell’s Villas (Goodwood), and Luxury Beauty Inclusive at the Milford Bay Plaza (Crown Point).
