On December 3, 2019, the Enrolled Nursing Assistant (ENA) Programme will be launched, to continuously improve the delivery of healthcare in Tobago. The Programme will train persons who will then support Registered Nurses in performing key functions, inclusive of wound care and taking readings from patients such as weight, height and blood pressure.
The Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development is responsible for the provision of health services on the island. Through the Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA), services related to disease prevention, health promotion, treatment and care are provided.
The launch will take place at the Tobago Rehabilitation and Empowerment Centre (TREC), Fort Street, Scarborough (Old Scarborough Hospital) from 10:00 a.m.
