Expanding Tobago’s Brand
Kieron Pollard, Captain of the Trinbago Knight Riders, signs a bat for a Whim Anglican primary student, as others line up.

The Division of Tourism, Culture and Transportation, through the Tobago Tourism Agency Limited, partnered with the Ministry of Tourism and NLCB to host Trinbago Knight Riders’ (TKR) inaugural visit to the island on September 2, 2019.

The team’s visit to Tobago started with a student engagement session at the Lowlands Multi-Purpose Facility.

Students from Whim Anglican, Scarborough R.C., St. Andrew’s Anglican, Signal Hill Government, Speyside High School and Bishop’s High School met with the three-time Caribbean Premier League winners.

The ‘Tobago Beyond’ Brand logo will be printed on the sleeves of the official TKR uniforms, an initiative to increase the island’s visibility and branding.

Following the official segment, students received mini autographed cricket bats.

The team also visited several tourist sites including the Store Bay Beach Facility, Pigeon Point Heritage Park and the Nylon Pool.
