A team gets ready to install formwork for a retaining wall project at Sandy River, Mason Hall.

The Division of Infrastructure Quarries and the Environment (DIQE) has stepped in to begin the necessary work, following the aftermath of Tropical Storm Karen.

Workers within the Division have embarked on the construction of a retaining wall at Sandy River, Mason Hall, which is fifty percent complete.

The project, which began earlier this month, encompasses the construction of a 120ft. x 15ft. reinforced concrete wall and will help to protect properties affected by land slippage.

The project is expected to be completed in November.
