The Belle Garden Multi-Purpose Facility is set to open, with an official commissioning ceremony scheduled for tomorrow (January 29) at the venue.
Construction began on the facility just over one year ago. And Community Development Secretary Marslyn Melville-Jack said her team is happy to deliver the space to the people of Belle Garden and environs.
Meanwhile, upgrades will be done simultaneously at the Pembroke, Black Rock and Golden Lane Community Centres in the first six months of 2019.
Phase I of the Charlotteville Community Centre will begin in the third quarter of this fiscal year. A media release from the Community Development Division stated that the works will include connection to the sewer system, and repairs to the bathrooms, kitchen and meeting hall for temporary occupation, which should bring relief to the community.
