A Zero Hunger World
Scarborough Secondary school pupil Tania Alfred with the Macaw “Bob” in the petting zoo at World Food Day 2018.

This year’s Word Food Day celebrations include a two-day Grand Exhibition and Food Fair.  The Division of Food Production, Forestry and Fisheries is hosting the event, which began earlier today and continues tomorrow (October 17th.)

Globally-themed “Our Actions Are Our Future: Healthy Diets for a #Zerohunger World,” the Fair features food crops, plants and seedlings, concrete products, a food fair, farmer’s market and a wildlife display.

Persons can also tour the tent village and learn more about the Division and its stakeholders. It takes place at the Parade Grounds, Bacolet, from 9:00 a.m daily.
