Universal Children’s Day

Today is Universal Children’s Day, which is celebrated worldwide on November 20th.

Universal Children’s Day aims to improve child welfare and promote children’s rights.

In Tobago, an Awareness Walk aimed at raising awareness of the importance of keeping our nation’s children protected and safe, will be held under the theme “Voice of the Child”, from Tambrin Square to the Port Mall starting at 3:00 p.m.

The event will feature speakers who talk about issues affecting children. The Child Protection Unit, Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), in collaboration with the Children and Family Services Unit of the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development; the Children and Family Services Unit of the Children’s Authority–Tobago; and the Student and Support Services Unit, Division of Education, Innovation and Energy are hosting the event.
