Tobago’s Tourism Rebranding Seen as a Game Changer

Tobago’s tourism sector already has all the ingredients needed for success.

And Chief Secretary Kelvin Charles, who is leading a contingent to World Travel Market 2018 (WTM) in the United Kingdom for the first time, believes the island’s new marketing strategy is a big step in the right direction.

The Tobago Tourism Agency Limited (TTAL) is rolling out its new ‘Go to Market’ strategy and destination imagery at World Travel Market, which began today in London.

It’s a move that is encouraging to the Chief Secretary.

“We haven’t done something like this before,” Charles said. “Tobago has a strong product, but we haven’t been marketing as aggressively as we should. I expect this new branding to be a game changer in our competitive strategy.”

The team also includes Secretary of Tourism, Culture and Transportation Nadine Stewart-Phillips and TTAL CEO Louis Lewis, along with other TTAL staff and tourism stakeholders.
