Tobago supports Bahamas hurricane relief drive

Tobago is joining relief efforts to assist Bahamians who have been affected by the passage of Hurricane Dorian.

The Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) will collect relief supplies from September 9-15 to be shipped to the Bahamas to aid in recovery efforts.

The list includes non-perishable food items and water, personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, first aid and emergency kits, cots, tools, and other emergency equipment.

Tobago residents are asked to drop off donated supplies to the TEMA Emergency Operations Centre at Fairfield Complex, Bacolet Street Scarborough from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Sunday; and at TEMA’s Signal Hill Warehouse (next to the Army Camp) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Monday to Friday).

Residents can also donate funds to the cause via the Red Cross (Republic Bank), Account No. 180482517101.

For additional information, Visit the TEMA Facebook page, or contact TEMA at 660-7489, extensions 2022-3 and 2025, or the 211 Information Centre.
