New MOU to Benefit Health Sector

Last week, the Trinbago Progressive Association of the U.S.A. completed its two-week initiative, which included a number of health activities in Tobago.

And the group is already looking forward to making its partnership with the health sector official, with an upcoming Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing.

“We look forward to signing the MoU with the Division of Health to formalise the ways we can collaborate to improve the health of our Tobagonians,” the organisation’s president Stephen Isaac said following its tenth mission outreach to Tobago, which Isaac deemed a success.

The Association was in Tobago from July 15-29. During that time, it held health fairs to provide free health services, including blood pressure screening, rapid HIV, diabetes and cholesterol testing and health education on various issues.

The organisation also donated wheelchairs and blood pressure machines.

The health activities were conducted in collaboration with the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development and the Tobago Regional Health Authority.

The Trinbago Progressive Association of the USA held a closing ceremony for its activities on July 28 at Canaan SDA Church.
