Mother of Assemblyman Joel Jack Being Laid to Rest Today

The Office of the Chief Secretary joins the rest of Tobago in supporting the family of the late Mrs. Marilyn Jerry Jack-Austin, mother of Assemblyman Joel Jack, Secretary of Finance and the Economy, during this time of loss.

Chief Secretary Hon. Kelvin Charles, highly commends Assemblyman Jack for his strength and fortitude during this period, as he had to attend to matters relating to the Budget while simultaneously dealing with the grief of losing his own mother. “I must specially congratulate and commend Secretary Joel Jack, for he has exhibited and continues to exhibit remarkable strength and composure during this time of mourning. In this instance, he has certainly put island before self and for that he must be recognized and acknowledged,” says Hon. Kelvin Charles.

On behalf of the Tobago House of Assembly and all of Tobago, the Office of the Chief Secretary extends sincerest condolences to the family and loved ones of the late Mrs. Marilyn Jerry Jack-Austin. We encourage all of Tobago and by extension Trinidad, to keep the family in prayer and offer as much love and support where possible, as they go through this time of mourning.
