Local Foods and Health Workshop

The Eat Local Month Committee in the Division of Food Production, Forestry and Fisheries held a workshop “Local Foods and Health” on May 23, 2018 at the Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment’s lecture room, Shaw Park to expose participants to local foods and their health benefits. The event was facilitated by a health, wellness and lifestyle coach. The objectives for the eat local initiative included promoting and sensitizing the public to the nutritional and health benefits which can be derived from eating local produce.
