Coastal Clean Up Returns

The International Coastal Clean Up Campaign is back this weekend (September 15-16).

The Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment will join the rest of the world in observing the occasion with an island clean up. This is in line with the Division’s thrust to maintain Tobago’s mantra of Clean, Green, Safe and Serene.

The initiative is aimed at spreading awareness about cleanliness. It also provides an opportunity for citizens to work together to help keep Tobago’s beaches clean. The theme for this year’s coastal clean-up campaign is: “Fighting for Trash Free Seas”.

This coastal clean-up will kick off on Saturday from 7 a.m. It will take place at Courland Bay in Plymouth, Little Rockly Bay in Lambeau, Minster’s Bay in Bacolet, Carapuse Bay in Belle Garden, Prince Bay in Roxborough and Tyrrel’s Bay in Speyside.

On Sunday, the clean-up will continue from 7 a.m. at La Guirra Bay in Kilgwyn and at Sandy Point Bay in Crown Point.
