Medical Transcription Unit

Medical Transcription is at the cutting edge of telecommunications technology, converting voice to electronic data, and transmitting that data back to a medical centre or an information warehouse and therefore accelerating the rate of healthcare delivery to clients.

In simpler terms, it is the act of translating from oral to written format (on paper or electronically) the record of a person’s medical history, prognosis, and outcome as dictated by a physician.

Medical Transcription may be carried out for any medical unit operating out of a hospital firm or small clinic. These transcribed records are used for the purposes of archiving, referring or serving as legal proof of medical advice.
