MISSION: To provide an environment that promotes and supports holistic development and lifelong learning through relevant, innovative and well conceived educational, sporting and youth oriented programmes, thus enabling all persons to achieve their full potential as productive citizens.

This Division can be subdivided into:

The Department of Education
The Department of Education is responsible for school supervision including curriculum implementation, education extension and student support services as well as the operations of all schools in Tobago. Its aim is to facilitate the delivery of quality education in an environment which makes teaching and learning pleasant and enjoyable.
This unit includes Adult Education, Student Support Services, School Nutrition, Primary, Secondary and confidential.

The Department of Youth Affairs
The Department of Youth Affairs is responsible for the development, coordination and support for Tobago’s youth through social education and holistic development.

The Department of Sports
The Department of Sports is responsible for the provision of the social, financial and technical assistance to all sporting organizations.

Library Services
Library Services offer the general public access to information for the optimum enlightenment and development of individuals in the society.

The Project Implementation Unit (PIU)
The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) is responsible for the implementation and coordination of the Division of Education, Youth Affairs and Sport’s projects in the Development Programme.

The Personnel and General Administration
The Personnel and General Administration is responsible for human resource matters and the recruitment and selection process of teachers and other support staff.

The Accounting Unit
The Accounting Unit is responsible for the management of accounts and expenditure for the entire Division.
